What is Hypnobirthing?
The Positive Birth Program as taught by me is a Hypnobirthing Australia™ course which offers the tools, support, knowledge and preparation for women and their support person in the lead up to birth.
Sounds great, but how does this look in detail?
Mental Preparation:
The Hypnobirthing Australia™ Positive Birth Program will provide you with the tools to approach your baby’s birth peacefully, positively, and fully prepared to face whatever turn your birthing journey takes.

Understanding your body and what happens during pregnancy and birth:
Learn how your amazing body gets ready to birth your baby, we will cover the importance of hormones, structure, and physiology of birth, as well as the mind-body connection.
Self-hypnosis techniques:
We will discover relaxation techniques, to accompany massage, acupressure, positioning and breathwork. Working closely with your support person we will use self-hypnosis techniques that you can use not only during labour but also during pregnancy and post-partum. Most importantly you will leave with a feeling of empowerment, knowing that you can embrace birth with an open mind and make it a positive experience.
Evidence base, current and relevant:
What I teach in this course is the most relevant and current childbirth education course, designed for women in Australia, but of course applicable for women all over the world. Our program is updated as soon as new evidence emerges, which means regardless if this is your first, second or third pregnancy, there is so much to learn.
My aim is for you to leave this course and feel empowered, full of ancient and new knowledge, knowing that you are supported by your birthing partner and me, fully aware how amazing your body is and how it “does its thing” during labour and birth, ready to be open and embrace any changes along the way and looking forward to the day of your positive birth.
What is included in a course?

12 hours of group or private one on one sessions for the birthing mother and birth partner.

Modern and relevant Hypnobirthing Australia Folio of Resources, including course handouts, practice materials and visualisations.

Hypnobirthing Australia relaxation/ self-hypnosis tracks (2 albums) with music, affirmations.

Continued phone and email support right up to and even during your birth.

Additional support for special circumstances eg. Additional Fear Release, Caesarean Birth or Breach turn session.
